Privacy Policy

DayTick is built by Robin. This Privacy Policy describes how DayTick collects, uses, and shares information when you use our iOS mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Information We Collect

DayTick does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to external servers. All user data (tasks, habits, and preferences) is stored locally on the user's device using on-device storage technologies.

  • No Account Required: The app does not require account creation. You can use DayTick without providing any personal information.
  • Local Storage Only: All data is stored on your device using SwiftData.
  • iCloud Sync (Optional): For users who enable premium features, optional iCloud sync may be used to synchronize data across the user's devices. This data is stored securely within the user's personal iCloud account and is not accessible to the developer.
  • Notifications: DayTick may request notification permissions to provide reminders. These notifications are scheduled and managed locally on the device.

Data Usage

All data is used solely to provide core app functionality such as task tracking, habit management, and reminders.

  • Data remains on the user's device unless iCloud sync is explicitly enabled by the user.
  • We do not use data for analytics, advertising, or tracking purposes.
  • No data is ever sold or shared with third parties.

Third-Party Services

DayTick does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or external data collection services. There are no trackers, no ads, and no data sharing.

For premium users, Apple iCloud is used solely for syncing data across devices. This data is managed by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

User Rights

Users have full control over their data. Since all data is stored locally or within the user's iCloud account:

  • Users can modify or delete their data at any time within the app
  • Users can clear all stored data using the Clear Data option in app settings
  • Clearing data removes all local data and any synced data from iCloud
  • Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data

Data Retention

Data is retained only on the user's device or within their iCloud account for as long as the user chooses to keep it. Users may delete their data at any time using in-app controls.

Permissions

DayTick may request the following permissions:

  • Notifications: Used to send reminders for tasks and habits

These permissions are optional and can be managed through the device settings.

Children's Privacy

DayTick does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Parents are responsible for their children's device usage.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of these terms.
